The August Flypaper

Okay, here we go with our Really Big Show!! The Homer Show! Now, some of you have missed the meetings lately (no problem) but we wanted to make sure everyone knew that Homer was this coming weekend, Saturday August 6th. We are expecting another great turn out and with our newly remodeled park, we should be able to park maybe 150 cars, trucks, etc.!! With that said, the different crews will need some additional help in handling all these cars and their occupants.

Lets review the different crews that warm bodies will be needed to make this show one to remember:

Registration Table: Rand has about 5-6 people that are planning on assisting, but more will be needed during the peak times from about daybreak to sundown. Set up will be around 7AM.

Parking Crew: Bob has about 7 plus people but that job gets really hectic around 10 until noon or so and additional people will be needed.

Raffle prizes: Jeff is handling that for Larry this year and he might need a helping hand or two.

Judging: Keenan has this pretty well tuned up, he’ll grab whom ever is walking around and ask you to assist with picking winners for the different classes. It is really pretty cool to just look for a certain type of vehicle that matches the category.

50/50: Claudia and Pattie are at it again with their 50/50 raffle tickets they are selling. They probably could use some help to get a minute to sit down, etc.

Poker Walk: Sharon and Jack have got 12 businesses lined up as Poker Walk stops for the cruisers and that will run from 11:00 until about 2pm so they might need help in the afternoon to assist with checking cards, etc.

Couch Races: Ron and his group have lined up 2 couches for the Sunday race. About 8 or so people anted up to push the couches so that will be a good time! Make sure to check with Ron Keppinger or the Registration Table Saturday for times and place to meet to enjoy and participate in this event.

Okay now the rules of the day No members can park their vehicles inside the show area. But, Library parking and the Armory is fair game for people if you come early. It does present a problem, sorry.

No members, spouses or their children may participate in the 50/50 Raffle.

No alcoholic beverages in the park. Club will have bottled water, etc.

MAKE SURE TO BRING YOUR NAME TAG AND LANYARD I HANDED OUT AT MACLEAY!
