APRIL 2005 FLYPAPER

Okay now, This Club is on a roll!  The gatherings at the Service Station are coming off pretty Cool, juts Jim’s bad luck that he seems to be on the road driving when we show up on the 2nd Saturdays!  But luckily his able group of mechanics keeps us inline most of the time.  At this last 2nd Saturday, Mike Miller, dropped off a really cool Coors Light lighted basketball sign.  Way To Go Mike!!

New member Gary Mulanix showed up with his latest ride he recently picked up, a 46-48(?) Ford with Flathead power, pretty cool. We had a pretty good turn out, lets keep it up and maybe even start inviting others to drop by?  HMmmmmmmm

The Portland swap has come and gone, hope members looking for stuff found what they were looking for.  Corvallis is this coming Sunday.  It used to be a really nice swap meet.

Meeting Notes:

Signed up another group of new members in March, they are Gary and Shirley Mulanix, Jay Sorgen and Gary Wolford.  That brings us up to 52 members this year so far.  That puts us several ahead of last year at this time, But Remember; it’s quality not quantity that makes a club.  We need people that want to have FUN, because that is what it is all about.  Wes might have something to say about that, but he is not writing this portion of the newsletter.

Larry Brown gave a report on upcoming cruises, etc.  Newport Cruise 4/30 and Rickreal swap meet 6/5 to name a few.  Remember you can check the web site or the Run book to see what else is going on.

Received a nice Thank You from the MHRC for assisting with security at the PRS. Speaking of the PRS, it appears the theme for 2006 will be “BE A PART OF HISTORY” Hey! That’s right up our tailpipe, we have a ton of members that truly were part of the Hot Rodding History. I will have to rely on Wes, Bob, Edd, Larry, Norm, Bro Bill, Al, James, Arnie, Glenn, Bruce, Phil, Bill S., Paul, Mike, D.W. just to name a few that can say “Been There, Done That!” to add more info. Now that group could really put on a clinic, say pick a specific time frame and just Talk (BS) about things going on then. WOW, that would be fun.
