Flywheels October 04
RAND HERE:
We Survived!! These reality shows have nothing on this Club. We held 2 of the coolest shows in the valley; maybe the state, and the Club even grew a ton! Pretty cool news if I do say so myself. Okay, for the ones that missed the Macleay Show, here are the numbers. 139 Cars, $550 plus in raffle sales, (way to go Larry and crew!) $1100 in the auction and about $150 on the 50/50 sales. All in All, a pretty good day, year, etc.
Know what? It is fall and it is time for those long sleeve shirts and nice warm sweat shirts. Oh, I’m out of sweatshirts. Oops, well then you people need to let me know what you would like to have and I will get busy and order some. But I do not plan to have a whole bunch extra for inventory as I am running out of room to store the other T-shirts already. Long sleeve T’s around $12.00 each and sweatshirts around $16.00 and up. E-mail me your requests or questions or see me at the next meeting to order.
EDD HERE:
Well that time is coming again, almost time for the car club's annual "Official " X-Mas party. On Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. at the "Countrymen" the Flywheels Car Club will have it's "Official" X-Mas party. There will be dinner specials, bar snacks, gifts, with some good clean fun with the members and your officers.
After that around 9 p.m. there is a good chance the "Brotherhood" will be there, with "special" gifts for "Special" members. Their "unofficial" X-Mas parity will start around 9 P.M. and will go until we go home or the rum runs out, and with Preston there it just may run out fast. The Brotherhood has worked all year long to come up with these "Special" gifts.... (Ok, So we get together with a 1/2 Gal. bottle of rum and go to the dollar store the day before the parity...SO???) We hope to get you to laugh at and with us as we have some "New" fun things to try out that night so if you enjoy our very "un-PC" type of humor join us, if not, Marry Christmas.

Rand "ARE YOU SURE" that it’s newsletter time AGAIN????? Time must go by even faster than I think. Just like the year its about over too.
Would like to Thank! Everyone again for his or her help at our two car shows. They were two for the best show so far. Only problem with that is how do we make next years better?? I sure don't know BUT I bet all of you will come up with something.
The new owner of a Bar and Grill in Mt Angel called Frank N Steins is doing Car poker runs and "50" days this fall. Dates and times are unknown at this time. So far most have been short notice things. A few of the club members went to their first poker run/car show in Sept., I think, and had a lot for fun. Brian Littlefield won the poker run and I won the car show. You may want to call this no. 503-845-2833 every week to see what's going on in Mt Angel. Maybe even make one a club outing. So far they have been on a Sunday. They also have NASCAR Sunday.
Next meeting will be Oct. 21, 2004 at The Countryman Public House. Starting around 7:30 PM. Bring a new member and just maybe we will hit new Flywheels Membership number of 70 members. Just can't believe it!!!
"THE CLUB" Later Wes
Update on Glen:
He had the gall bladder surgery last week and it went very well (in at 7:30 am on the way home about 10:30 am). This past Friday, the 15th, he had minor surgery in the Drs. office to clean out the duct. After that was all said and done, He said he is ready to go to Phoenix for the NASCAR Race. A True Flywheel There!!
Remember to let me know what size, style, etc. and we’ll be able to order them and get us all warm and fuzzy before Thanksgiving!!! Or there about. They also make great Christmas presents!! Later Rand
