NO WES or BOB !!!!!!!

Stuff: As I was saying above, Wes & Bob are off on their, what appears to be, annual trip to Tennessee for the F-100 Super Tour. They left on Wednesday morning the 5th and will be gone for about 3 weeks. You know what this means?? I’m in charge!! Well at least I have the check book and am the only one who can sign. Maybe we should go buy a Club project car, like a CHEVY!!!

Okay enough of that or we’ll have Edd down here in a day or so. HMMMM, that might be kind of fun. Oh well, on with the news.............

Meeting Notes:

Had several guest stop by. Bert Romans & Eldon Johnson. Only had 25 members show up for the meeting. A little down from earlier months, but what a great club, when you can have 25 members attend and that’s only have the Club, WOW!!

Wes chatted about fliers, runs, etc. coming up. The Club chose the Fireman’s Mothers Day breakfast as one the Club should attend.

May 21st is the Hi-School car show. Joseph June 11-13. Blue Moon starts May 8th & Loyalty Days May1st. Make sure to check out the Web-Site, Bob has placed a bunch of these and other runs on their for a great place to find out what’s up. Good Job Bob!!!

Scholarship plaques are here and the Club got an extra on to use in our Club display. Will have them at the meeting for people to check out.

Bob Bullard is working on having Bob Simon stop by at a meeting to discuss car insurance and the Albany Car Show.

Bob Bullard also is spear heading the purchase of Club Hats. The club voted on a design and Bob has them ordered. They will be here for the June Meeting. I’ll let people know if the arrive sooner. Speaking of ordering things, I should have decals at the meeting.

Okay, some of you who have not made it to a meeting this year have been missing the Bruce Benz & Jack Rhyne Raffle Show. Selling 50/50 tickets and then splitting the money at the end of the meeting. Jeff Brown was April’s winner $30!!

Other Club Stuff:

We are talking about having a handful of spaces at the Chemeketa swap meet. Myself and Don Littlefield are heading this effort up ( I guess we are?) Norm Brown will claim as many spots as we think we need the night before. He sets up his trailer on Saturday. I mentioned this in last months newsletter and the membership was behind the idea at the last meeting.

So start digging out some of that really cool stuff, clean it up a bit and get ready for a fun day haggling over prices, trades, etc. Hey if someone has a really rare item, bring it too just to have fun with the crowds!!

Remember meeting this Thursday the 20th at the Countryman around 7:30 PM. Do not know if they will have a special or not. But remember as always, Dues are Due!!!
